Serious question, has a personalized star map ever worked as a gift?

I spent $45 on one for my wife's birthday, and she just stared at it and asked if it was a picture of a computer virus. Anyone have a better idea for a sentimental but not confusing present?

Honestly, that's a shame it didn't land. I got one for my partner once, framing it around the night we first met, and they loved it. It's all in how you explain the meaning, you know? Maybe she just needed the story that went with it. For a different idea, a custom song or poem about a shared memory can hit that sweet spot without being confusing.
