Best $40 I spent before moving was a furniture dolly
When I moved from Austin to Denver last year, I grabbed a cheap $40 furniture dolly from Harbor Freight. Saved my back hauling boxes and a heavy dresser up three flights of stairs at the new place. Had to replace two wheels after a few trips, but still way cheaper than hiring movers. Anyone else swear by a specific tool for a DIY move?

Those Harbor Freight dollies are workhorses for the price. I grabbed one for my last move and the only real issue was one wheel locking up after a rough curb drop. A little WD-40 and a new caster later, it still does the job for hauling furniture around the garage.

WD-40 won't fix bearings. You meant silicone spray.

Ngl that Harbor Freight dolly is a lifesaver. I had the same thing with a wheel locking up after hitting a curb hard but a quick WD-40 spray and it was back in action. Honestly for forty bucks you can't beat it even if you have to swap a caster or two later.
