Yeah, @ward.jason nailed it with Brotherhood for group watches. The plot moves quick with huge twists that keep everyone invested, and the characters stay solid the whole time. It really avoids that slowdown that loses people halfway through.

I read a piece by a novelist who said they take real feelings but put them in made up people. They described using the anger from a breakup but giving the character a different face and job. That way, the emotion is real but the person isn't recognizable. It's a good way to write truth without the mess.

My buddy used to make fun of 80s synth music, calling it cheap and silly. Then he heard one of those tracks in a really cool tech ad for a smartwatch, with all these slick visuals. Totally changed his mind overnight. Now he's deep into these old playlist channels, texting me links to songs he swore he hated last year.
