I finally tried chicken wire for a wedding arch, but it won't hold up

Christopher's zip tie trick works if you reinforce the base first.

My team thinks I'm wrong for skipping paint blend on small dents

But come on, is blending paint for every tiny dent REALLY needed? If the color match is perfect, why waste time on extra steps? I've seen plenty of jobs where skipping the blend looked just fine. Your team might be used to doing it one way, but that doesn't make it the only way. This feels like making a big deal out of nothing. Trust your eye and save the effort for when it actually matters.

Found a family of squirrels living in our scrap metal pile meant for recycling.

But isn't that kind of what humans do too? We show up somewhere new and completely change the place to suit us, wiping out whatever was there before. It's the same push to survive and dominate, just with different tools. Makes you wonder if we're the ultimate invasive species sometimes, you know? We just call it progress instead.

My shop light showed me a fridge leak I would have missed

Check if the wet spot feels oily or just wet. Condensation is common, especially in humid places. Real coolant leaks often have an oily feel because the refrigerant carries oil. You can use soapy water on the spot to see if bubbles form, which means a leak. Also, listen for a hissing sound from the fridge lines. Mistaking condensation for a leak can lead to unnecessary repairs.

Can we talk about how folks at parties always ask if we sing like Mary Poppins?

After that film, @susan_perez, I can't bring up soot without laughs.
