inShoutout to the dive crew's chef for flipping my view on pre-dive snacks.
Funny you should ask. My go-to was always a granola bar until I dropped one in the water and a curious fish tried to share. Now I stick to plain crackers, less exciting for marine life. But seriously, anything too sugary gives me a weird energy spike and crash, which is no fun when you're decompressing. A banana or some nuts seem to be the sweet spot for me, pun intended. It's all about not feeling like you're digesting a Thanksgiving dinner while navigating coral. Caleb, if you ever try to dive after a big meal, it's like your body is on strike and your brain is on vacation.

inDAE use old yeast and end up with brick bread?
Ever read that old yeast needs sugar to wake up, or it stays dead?

inSerious question, is the indie festival in Denver worth the hassle?
Check if the organizers have a backup plan for cancellations. I once saw a local band fill in and they blew everyone away. The real test of a festival is how it deals with problems.

Switched to brown filters and never looked back.

inWorking in cramped boiler rooms? My trick for better weld access.
Mirrors are a game changer for sure. A dentist's inspection mirror on a long handle saved my skin more than once in those tight spots. The bendy neck lets you position it exactly where you need a second angle without craning your own head into a beam. Just watch for glare bouncing back at you from your own arc.
