PSA: My neighbor's comment about his coop setup made me pause

Respectfully, I have to go the other way on this one. In my experience, a strong run is good, but the coop is their last safe room for the night. I've seen a weasel slip through a tiny gap in a coop wall that a fortress run wouldn't have stopped. My peace of mind comes from knowing their sleeping space is totally sealed tight. I focus on making both areas strong, but the coop gets my best work.

Finally got that tricky 5-axis contour to run without a crash

Honestly, that feeling when you tweak one tiny thing and it finally works is the best. Tbh it's like when my old car would only start if you jiggled the key just right, or a recipe turns out perfect after you adjust the salt. Ngl, most problems seem to need that one small, specific fix instead of a big change. Your story about the stock offset is a perfect example of that.

My foreman said to always use a 1/4 inch spacer for shower doors, but it cost me a job

Yeah, that "huge gap" thing. My buddy's crew got the same complaint on a fancy bathroom job last year. The client said it looked like a mistake and made them redo the whole wall.

My aunt's old recipe card for cornbread dressing had a missing step.

Just cornbread? Tbh, that's the whole point.

I think the bulk bins at my local co-op are a bad deal now

Maybe it's just a weird price thing at that one store? Bulk bins still save money on spices and stuff you only need a pinch of. Seems like a small thing to get worked up about.
