inPSA: A client's stubborn device has me questioning repair ethics.
Used to always side with getting new stuff for the better efficiency specs. Then I saw my old laptop, that I traded in for a "greener" model, just get shredded for parts. Felt like such a waste when a simple battery swap would have kept it running for years. Honestly, keeping a device out of the dump has to count for something too.

inMy recent run-in with a legendary pitmaster got me thinking about the past.
Once ate at a place where the pitmaster learned everything from his grandma, and it hit me how skills get passed down. Kinda makes you reflect on your own family traditions.

inDuring a family campout, my budget lantern quit during a scary story session.
That lantern really picked its moment to quit, huh. Like it was trying to make the scary story even more authentic. Typical cheap gear drama.
