inTraveling for work and got stuck in an elevator in Boston! Now I'm curious how other cities deal with this. Any advice?
Boston's emergency crews are known to be fast. For example, I recall a story last year where a group was freed in under twenty minutes from an old building downtown. But is that common, or do older elevators in historic areas cause longer waits? The upkeep records for these systems might show us more about the real danger. What has your experience been with city services like that, @the_andrew?

inIn my house, coffee was a pot on the stove, not a science project.
Right? I swear some people treat their morning cup like it's a lab experiment. Next they'll be weighing the beans on a tiny little scale and timing it with a stopwatch.

inMy neighborhood's fermenting co-op is splitting over sanitation standards.
Podcasts often recommend voting on standards, as @brown.willow said!

inFinally good at peel timing, clients rush the wash-off
Totally kills the whole moment when they rush it like that. Makes you wonder if they even get why timing matters so much.

inMy niece decided our rooster needs a bedtime story
Lol @xenawhite is probably right about the routine thing. Chickens are super into patterns. My aunt's hens used to freak out at every little noise until she started playing the same talk radio station softly in the coop for an hour at dusk. Now they just associate that muffled voices sound with settling down. Could try a small solar light on a timer too, gives them a slow dimming effect. Whatever works to cut down the 5am crowing, I say lean into it.
