My friend in Austin said AI art is just 'fancy copy and paste' and it got me thinking.
We were talking about a new image generator and he argued it's not really creating, just remixing what it's already seen. It hit different because he's a painter and showed me his sketchbook full of original ideas. Has anyone else had to defend the creative side of AI tools to an artist?
