Stuck on one episode of Monster for three days straight

I was binging Monster last week and got to episode 74. I spent three whole days trying to figure out who the guy in the red coat was because I skipped a scene. Turned out I just needed to rewind 30 seconds to catch a name drop. Has anyone else ever gotten hung up on a tiny detail in a long series?

Yeah that little detail thing happens to me all the time in real life too.

Does it mess with your head more when it's something small, like a key in the wrong drawer, or when it's a bigger life thing?

@abby308 both mess with me but the small things hit different because you feel crazy for being annoyed at a stupid key. What helped me was just saying "it's just a key" out loud and moving on before it spirals into a whole mood.
