Spent $600 on a used injector puller from eBay, turned out to be a lifesaver on a 6.0L Powerstroke job last month

Put a little anti-seize on the new one before you thread it in.

Back when I was trying to learn Python, I kept getting stuck on loops for days

Oh man, I feel this so much. I actually read something recently about how switching between a screen and a physical space resets your brain's ability to spot patterns. Totally tracks with what @olivia_carr7 was saying about boxes and arrows too. I've started using sticky notes on my wall for anything complex, just writing one thing per note and moving them around. It sounds dumb but it works way better than staring at the same line of code for an hour. The physical act of writing it down forces you to slow down and actually think through each step instead of just hoping it works. Plus you can't accidentally delete your whiteboard sketches with a wrong keystroke.

I finally figured out why my grandma's pie crust never worked for me

Oh man, that's such a classic thing! My friend Jenna had pretty much the exact same problem with her mom's biscuit recipe. She tried for years to get them fluffy and they always came out like hockey pucks. Her mom finally watched her one weekend and just started laughing. Turns out she was rolling the dough out with a wine bottle because she couldn't find her rolling pin and was putting way too much pressure on it. Also she was cutting the biscuits with a dull glass so it was smashing the edges instead of slicing clean through. Her mom showed her how to pat the dough gently with her hands and use a sharp cutter and now her biscuits are actually really good. It's funny how the smallest things can mess up a recipe that's been passed down for generations.

Missed my bus by 7 seconds this morning and watched the driver look right at me

Seven seconds is honestly the WORST because you can't even be mad at yourself really. I had this exact same thing happen at 8th and Main last Tuesday, the bus was literally sitting there at the light for like 30 seconds while I was running, and soon as I got to the door it pulled away. The driver definitely saw me too, I made eye contact through the window and everything. It's like they get a little power trip from closing those doors right when you're about to touch them. I swear some of them time it perfectly just to make sure you learn your lesson about being late. What gets me is if you're even one minute earlier you're fine, but that split second timing is everything.

Switched from Procreate to Krita for one month and my lineart got way cleaner

@victor_carr25 Not sure I agree with you there, man. The delay slider makes things feel sluggish and laggy to me. I turn that thing all the way down. The stabilizer settings are nice but they introduce their own weird jitter sometimes. I actually turned off most of Krita's smoothing and just learned to draw quicker strokes. Works better for me. Procreate's smoothing is heavy but it feels more natural, like real pen resistance.
