Went to a tiny anime convention in Tulsa last Saturday and the cosplay turnout was wild for a 300 person event

for a 300 person event" has me shook. i went to a con in dallas with like 2k people and the cosplay was maybe half as good. did you catch anyone doing a full Eva unit-01 build or was it mostly closet cosplays? tulsa really stepping up their game i guess 💀

Man I can barely get a zipper to work on a store bought costume, the idea of someone building a full Eva unit is like watching a different species operate. I'm out here looking like a potato wrapped in a bedsheet pretending to be a ghost while people are out there with working leg joints and vinyl armor. Tulsa must have some kind of secret cosplay bootcamp going on because 300 people shouldn't be outshining a 2k con that easily. I need to find out who these people are and maybe just stand near them to absorb some talent by osmosis.
