Had a bad week with mobile payments til I talked to my credit union rep
I was about to dump my whole setup last Tuesday after my card got declined three times at the grocery store in Denver. Turned out it was a daily limit I didn't know about, set at $500. My credit union rep spent 20 minutes on the phone and walked me through raising it and adding travel alerts. Has anyone else had a limit surprise them like that?

Oh man, I read something about how banks quietly set those daily limits and don't tell you until it's too late. Glad your rep actually helped you out with it!

And the worst part is they don't even put it in writing. Had a buddy try to move a chunk of cash for a used truck he was buying, and the bank just locked his card at the ATM. No warning, no text, no nothing. He had to call and sit on hold for 45 minutes just to get a temp limit raised. They'll happily take your deposits all day but the second you want your own money out, suddenly there's a rule book they forgot to mention. Makes you wonder what other crap they're hiding in the fine print.
