Just realized how much I miss in-person bank deposits

I used to drive to my local branch every Friday to deposit checks from my small baking business, which took about 20 minutes total. A few months ago I switched to mobile deposit through my phone app, but now I have to wait 3 business days for funds to clear instead of getting them instantly. Has anyone else had trouble with the hold times on mobile deposits, or is it just my credit union?

Did you try depositing a check through your phone while covered in flour from your baking business? No? Just me then. I swear my credit union holds my deposits extra long just to mess with me, like they know I need that money for more vanilla extract.

Oh man, I feel your pain SO much. That mental image of you covered in flour trying to deposit a check is hilarious but also way too real. My bank does the exact same thing, like they can sense when you're depending on that money for something specific. I swear they have a special team that just watches for baking emergencies and then hits the "hold" button. It's like they think vanilla extract is some kind of luxury item and not a NEED for a business owner.
