Hit 10,000 haircuts last week and didnt even realize it til I counted back my books
Been cutting hair since 2012 out of my dads garage then my own shop. I keep a simple log of every cut for tax stuff. Flipped back to check something and saw I crossed 10k around last wednesday. Thats wild to me cause I remember stressing if Id get 5 walk ins a week when I started. Now I do about 35-40 a week easy. Any of you guys keep track or just wing it?

My barber buddy hits me with the same story. 10k cuts is serious consistency, especially when you remember those slow Wednesdays in a garage.

Thats wild to me cause I remember stressing if Id get 5 walk ins a week when I started" - man that hit home. A buddy of mine owned a small auto repair shop for years and kept every work order in a filing cabinet. One day he was looking for an old invoice and counted up all the jobs. Said he crossed 8,000 repairs without even noticing. He got choked up talking about it, said he remembered Sundays when he'd pray for just one car to come in so he could pay rent. Now he's got a waiting list a month long. Numbers creep up on you when you just keep showing up.
