Just counted and my little collection of pressed ferns from the Cascade hikes hit 50 different species.

It took me three summers of weekend trips to get here, and honestly, finding that tiny oak fern last week was what pushed me over the edge, which makes me wonder, what's a plant that felt like a real TREASURE hunt for you guys?

Found a ghost pipe once, deep in some wet woods. Totally white, no chlorophyll, looked like it came from another planet. Felt like winning the forest lottery.

Those ghost pipes really do feel like finding alien life. @morgan.mary, your find reminds me of stumbling on a whole patch of morels once, all hidden under some leaves. Felt like the woods gave up a secret just for me.
