Finally paid off my credit card after 4 years of trying
I had this card from a move to Denver back in 2019 and the balance just kept growing with interest. It took me way longer than I thought because I kept dipping back into it for car repairs and vet visits. Anyone else have a debt that took way longer than you expected to knock out?

Honestly I used to be one of those people who was like "just don't use the card" and it seemed so simple to me. But then my dog needed emergency surgery and my car's transmission went out in the same month and I realized how quickly life just punches you in the face with expenses. It took me three years to pay off a Best Buy card because I kept using it for Christmas presents and then paying the minimum every month thinking I was being responsible. So yeah I get it now, sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and take way longer than you planned.

Wait, you had a Best Buy card for Christmas presents? Like you were buying gifts on a store credit card and just paying the minimum? That's wild to me, I don't think I've ever met someone who actually did that. Your dog and transmission story is brutal though, I get why you had to.
