Had a $0 spending day last Tuesday and it felt weirdly good

Last Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat and decided to just stay home and not go anywhere. I didn't buy coffee, didn't grab lunch out, didn't order anything online. Just ate food I already had in the fridge and used my library card to download a free audiobook. By the end of the day I checked my bank app and realized I hadn't spent a single dollar. That almost never happens. I usually drop at least $5 on something small like a snack or a parking meter. It made me wonder how many days I could actually pull that off in a month if I tried. Has anyone else ever tracked a zero spend day and was it harder than you thought?

Is it really that deep though? It was one Tuesday where you didn't buy a snack and listened to a free book. I feel like most people have days like that without even trying. Maybe I'm wrong but spending zero dollars for a single day doesn't seem like something worth tracking or overthinking. Just seems like a normal Tuesday.

Small wins add up though, a free day is still a win.
