Overheard my coworker say I was too slow on revisions
I was getting coffee last Tuesday and heard my coworker tell our boss I was holding up the team because I take too long on revisions. It stung but honestly she was right. I was checking every single detail three times because I was scared of making a mistake. Been in graphic design for 5 years and still acting like a rookie. So this week I started timing myself on each revision and capping it at 30 minutes. First few days were rough but I'm getting faster without screwing up. Has anyone else had to shake off the perfectionism habit just to keep up with deadlines?

Ugh that feeling of overhearing something like that is the worst, I'm sorry. The 30 minute cap thing is smart, I've done something similar with copywriting where I just set a timer and force myself to hit send even if it's not perfect. It's wild how fast you get used to it once you break the habit of triple checking everything.
