Just realized West Side Market vendors have wildly different pricing on the same cuts of meat

Was comparing prices at a few stalls last Saturday and saw a 40% difference for the same cut of beef between the old school butchers and the newer places. Does anyone actually shop around or just stick with one spot out of habit?

You got a buddy who swears by the old Greek butcher on the south end? He told me once he paid double for ground lamb there compared to the place two stalls over. Said he didn't care, the guy always remembers his name and throws in an extra sausage. He's been going there ten years and won't switch even if it costs more. That loyalty stuff is real for some people I guess.

Brought back a memory of my uncle who used to drive forty minutes out of his way just to buy honey from this one beekeeper. The guy kept bees on his farm and sold it out of a shed. My uncle swore it tasted better than anything in the store, even though it was basically the same price. He turned it into a whole Sunday ritual for years. I get it, Gavin, some folks just attach themselves to a person.
