TIL a French press makes better coffee than my $300 drip machine

I used that Breville Connoisseur for 2 years thinking it was top tier. Friend brought over a $25 Bodum and his coffee had way more flavor and body. Anyone else ditch their expensive gear for something simpler?

Nah, my drip machine still makes a cleaner cup than any French press I've tried.

Man my French press game is so weak that I once served coffee grounds to a guest and they thought it was a new kind of cold brew texture lol. I stuck with it for a month trying to convince myself it was better but ended up just getting weirdly aggressive about the plunger timing. Drip machines might not be fancy but at least they don't make me question my life choices every morning.
