Man that is painful. I did something similar last month at a BBQ place I used to work at. We went through 8 gallons of peanut oil in one Friday night dinner rush before the new guy figured out the drain valve was half closed the whole time. All that oil turned dark way too fast and everything we fried came out greasy and wrong.

@perry.karen that story about the BBQ place is rough, but it shows how these little things can mess up your whole system. It's like how people always check the big obvious stuff but forget the small parts that keep everything running smooth. Same thing happens with home appliances or car maintenance. You'll change the oil but ignore the air filter and wonder why the engine is acting up. Just part of life, always a hidden problem somewhere.
