Heard a guy at the diner say the moon landings were faked because of the flag waving

Tbh, I was just grabbing coffee yesterday at Lou's Diner on 5th Street when I overheard two guys at the next booth. One was going on about the 1969 moon landing, saying the flag waving in the video proves it was shot in a studio because there's no wind in space. The other guy shot back that NASA explained it was from the flagpole being twisted into the ground, making the cloth move. Honestly, it made me think. On one side, you have people who point to stuff like that as clear proof of a big lie, saying the whole space race was just for show. On the other, you have folks who say every 'proof' has a boring science answer and that calling it fake insults thousands of engineers. I walked away not sure what to believe. Has anyone else dug into this specific flag thing and found a solid answer either way?

Honestly, the flag thing is the weakest part of the whole theory. It's not waving, it's just moving. They shoved a horizontal rod into the top to make it stick out, and when they planted the pole, the whole setup jiggled. That jiggle made the cloth swing back and forth. In a vacuum with no air to slow it down, that motion lasts longer than it would on Earth. It looks weird to us because we're used to seeing things move in air. But it's just basic physics, not a secret studio fan.

Wait, they put a rod in the flag? I never knew that part. That actually makes a lot of sense.
