Am I the only one here who thinks heavy hold hairspray is overrated?

Overheard a stylist at my salon swear Tigi Bed Head Masterpiece was the only thing she'd use, but I've been finding lighter sprays like Eva NYC give better volume without that crunch. Anyone else ditch the sticky stuff for a softer finish?

Does my hair ever forgive me after a day of heavy hold spray, or does it stage a full on rebellion? I've been leaning toward the softer stuff too, feels like my hair actually remembers how to move.

A buddy of mine once went to a wedding and absolutely drenched her hair in that extra strength freeze spray. She said by the time she got home it felt like her hair was wearing a helmet, not like hair at all. The next morning she woke up and it was all crunchy and tangled, looked like a bird's nest. She tried to brush it and it just snapped and broke off in clumps. Took her like three deep conditioning treatments over a week before her hair even started to feel normal again. That stuff can really mess with your texture long term if you overdo it.
