I finally tried that new toner brand my client kept pushing on me

Had a long-time client bring in this organic toner from a local shop in Austin last Friday, swore it would fix her brassiness better than anything. Mixed it up on a test strand and it lifted way patchier than my go-to, left the hair looking blotchy. Anyone else had mixed results switching toners that claim to be 'gentle'?

Oh man, I've been there. Honestly, just stick to what you know works for brassiness and use those gentle toners on clients with finer hair or scalp issues. Patchy test strands are a red flag you shouldn't ignore twice.
