I just realized I wasted $300 on a set of 'professional' shears that felt wrong from day one.

I bought them online because the ad said they were salon-grade, but the grip is awkward and they pull hair instead of cutting cleanly, so has anyone found a good place to actually test shears before buying?

Yeah, beauty supply stores are a solid bet. Found a great leave-in conditioner at Sally's for way less than the salon brand. The one with the pink bottle. Made my hair way easier to manage.
