My basement waterproofing job turned into a 4-day flood disaster
Started sealing a crack in my foundation wall last Wednesday, thought it would take an afternoon. Turns out the hydrostatic pressure was way worse than I thought and water started pouring in through a second crack I missed. Has anyone else dealt with hidden secondary cracks during waterproofing?

Did you have a sump pump running during all this?

Yeah I didn't have one running but I wish I did. Neighbor across the street had his going nonstop for like three straight days and his basement stayed bone dry while mine turned into a swimming pool. Funny thing is he told me last year his pump broke and he didn't bother replacing it until we had that big storm back in March.
