Question about switching from paint sprayer to brush for trim work

I used to always use my HVLP sprayer for painting baseboards and door trim. Did a whole house that way for 3 years. But last month I tried a high quality angled brush instead on a single bedroom. The brush gave me way better control around the edges and I didn't have to spend 2 hours masking everything off. Which method do you lean toward for trim and why?

Does your sprayer not have a fine tip for trim? I use the 1.0mm or 1.2mm tip on mine and it lays down paint thin enough that I barely have to backbrush. I still have to mask a little window and door casing, but not the whole baseboard. The brush is way slower for me on long runs.

Buddy of mine tried the fine tip approach last year on his kitchen trim and ended up with drips everywhere cause he didn't thin the paint enough. Took him twice as long to sand and fix than just brushing it would've been.
