Spent a full 45 minutes trying to get a stubborn milia out before remembering my mentor's trick with a warm compress and a comedone extractor.
What's your go-to method for those super deep, stubborn ones that just won't budge?

Remember my friend who tried to steam her face for like twenty minutes over a pot of boiling water? She went at one with a needle and just made it angry and red. I told her to chill, put a hot washcloth on it while she watched some TV, and try again the next day. It basically came to the surface on its own and popped out with barely any pressure. Sometimes you just have to walk away and let the heat do its thing.

See, I get the "let the heat do its thing" idea but honestly that approach drives me crazy. I had a zit last month that I tried the warm compress trick on for like four days straight and it just sat there doing nothing but getting bigger and more painful. By day five I was so over it I just dug in with some clean tools, popped the sucker, and it was flat and healing within 24 hours. The whole "just wait it out" thing is great if you have the patience of a saint but most of us don't live in that world. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands before it turns into a full blown cyst that lasts weeks. I'm not advocating for going full barbarian but there's a middle ground between a steam bath marathon and giving up completely.

Honestly, my go-to is just to give up and live with a new tiny face friend, which is why I'm taking notes from @wyatt_shah85. The warm compress trick actually works if I can resist poking at it like a crazy person. My lack of patience is my own worst enemy here.
