A runway show in Milan made me rethink my whole approach to color
I was at the Prada show about 5 years ago, and they used this one specific shade of mustard yellow that I would have never picked. It was paired with a deep navy and it just clicked for me. I went home and threw out half my old color palettes because they felt so safe and boring. Has anyone else had a single color change their whole design process?

Wow, mustard yellow and navy sounds like a weird combo but I get it. I used to stick with black and white for everything because it felt clean. Seeing a burnt orange wall in a cafe last year totally flipped a switch for me. Now I'm way more likely to try a bold color I would have ignored before. It makes things feel more alive.

Wait you threw out half your stuff? That's wild. I would have just shoved it in the back of the closet.

Honestly, my closet was so full it was a fire hazard. I got tired of moving boxes of old junk every time I needed to find something. It felt really good to just let it go, like a weight off my shoulders. Now I can actually see all my clothes and it saves me so much time in the morning.
