Appreciation post: I found a weirdly good use for that half-empty jar of artichoke hearts
I was staring at them next to some leftover chicken and a lemon for like 10 minutes... chopped it all up with some pasta and it was actually a solid dinner. What's the strangest fridge combo you've turned into a real meal?

You ever see those cooking shows where they make a meal from random basket ingredients? I read once that a lot of chefs actually do that at home with their own fridge leftovers. My weird win was cold pizza, black beans, and a fried egg all mixed in a bowl. Looked awful but it worked.

Cold pizza and black beans in the same bowl... that's a combination I never would have imagined. The fried egg on top almost makes sense, but the rest sounds like a crime against food. My stomach just turned a little picturing it all mixed together. You must have been really hungry to try that.

Hot take: Desperation is the best spice.
That artichoke and chicken pasta sounds way more put together than my usual mess. Honestly, my strangest success was a can of tuna mixed into instant ramen with a big spoonful of peanut butter. It sounds like a cry for help, and it kind of was, but the salty, creamy, fishy thing it had going on really worked. Would not make it for a date, but it got the job done.
