Just switched from a foam brush to a good badger hair brush for shellac and wow.
The foam one left streaks and bubbles every time, but the badger brush from that shop in Cincinnati lays it down smooth as glass. Anyone else find a simple tool change that fixed a stubborn finishing problem?

That shop in Cincinnati, was it a specific brand?

My first shellac project looked like a toddler did it with a broom. Switching to a decent brush was like discovering my hands actually work, lmao. Night and day difference for real.

Wait, you started with a broom? That's some serious commitment to the wrong tool. My first try was bad enough with a cheap brush from the hardware store. Can't even imagine the mess a broom would make.
