Just realized my 'perfect' gift for my nephew in Phoenix was a total dud

I got him a fancy drone for his 10th birthday, but it was way too complicated and he just looked confused when he opened it. Anyone have ideas for simpler, fun gifts for a kid that age?

My buddy's kid loved a simple remote control car more than any fancy gadget.

Yeah, it's wild how that works. Kids just want something they can actually play with, not just look at. All the flashing lights and apps in the world can't beat the fun of making something move. My nephew was the same way last Christmas. It really makes you remember what simple fun feels like.

Oh man, have you thought about a good old fashioned snap circuit kit? Those things are awesome - they snap together to make lights and sounds but the directions are super simple, way less frustrating than trying to mess with drone controls.
