inTook me 5 tries to get this shutter timing right
Chasing ghosts" is exactly right man. I spent a whole Sunday afternoon once trying to get a Copal shutter on a Konica Auto S2 to hit 1/500 dead on. Ended up breathing so shallow I almost passed out, had my face like two inches from the lens board. Still ended up with 18% error and just called it good. Embarrassing thing is I'm pretty sure I spent more time calibrating that one screw than I have actually taking pictures with the camera since.

inPSA: Stop buying pre-shredded cheese if you're on a budget
That bit about the anti-caking powder costing extra is spot on. I started noticing it's the same with a lot of "convenience" stuff at the store. The pre-cut fruit cups, the bagged salad mixes, even those single-serve guacamole packs. You're basically paying a premium for someone else to do a two minute job, and you get a worse product that goes bad faster. I switched to whole produce and blocks of cheese a few months back, my wallet and my fridge are way happier.

inWhy does nobody talk about how hard it is to find good wifi in Lisbon
Man I was the exact same way. Couple weeks ago I was parked outside a random coffee shop in the rain just to get their login page to load.

inHot take: frozen veggies crisp up better than fresh in the air fryer
Real talk @jamienguyen, have you ever actually compared the nutrient levels side by side? I swear frozen broccoli has more vitamins than fresh that's been sitting in my fridge for a week looking sad. My thing is frozen green beans are way better for air frying than fresh ones ever turn out. They get that perfect crispy outside without turning into a shriveled mess. What's the one frozen veggie you think is actually better than fresh no matter what?

inFound a weird trick for fixing frizzy bobby pins that actually works
Wow that's GENIUS honestly. I have the EXACT same problem with my bobby pins getting all bumpy and rough after a while and it drives me CRAZY. The dry heat must be resetting the coating or something, that makes so much sense now that you say it. Thanks for sharing this because I was literally about to go buy new ones this weekend and throw out my whole stash. Definitely trying this tomorrow and I bet it works on those little claw clips too.
