Pro tip: Don't eat at the Frontier parking lot taco guy
I was grabbing food near Frontier on Central last Thursday around 11 PM and saw a guy selling tacos out of a cooler. Seemed like a good deal at $2 each so I got 3. Dude was using the same gloves to grab cash and then touch the meat. I got sick later that night and had to call out of work on Friday. Dr told me it was probably food poisoning from something I ate in the last 12 hours. Has anyone else had a bad experience with those roam-in vendors downtown?

...and that bare handed cash handling is exactly why I steer clear of those pop up vendors after midnight. Look, I get it, late night tacos sound amazing when you've been drinking or just got off work, but that guy was probably not even licensed or inspected by the health department. Did you happen to notice if he had any kind of hand washing setup back there, or was he just running out of a regular car trunk? Because that's the real red flag to me, whether he had a jug of water and soap or not. I'm also curious what kind of meat you got, was it the al pastor or the carne asada, cause different meats spoil way faster if they're sitting in a cooler for hours on end.

seanjohnson makes a good point about the meat, that's the real gamble. I'd want to know if they had any kind of thermometer or were just guessing if it was still cold. Did you see them checking temps or anything, or was it all just based on how the meat looked in the cooler?
