Showerthought: That used car salesman actually saved me $3,000
I was about to buy a 10 year old SUV from a lot in Manchester and the salesman stopped me, said he could sell it to me but the warranty was about to run out in 2 weeks and the transmission felt loose. He pointed me to a different lot down the street instead of taking my money. Has anyone else had a salesperson give you bad advice like that actually turn out to be them being real with you?

Dude that's wild, but I had a similar thing happen buying a truck a few years back. Salesman straight up told me the one I was looking at had a salvage title he couldn't legally hide and pointed me to a clean one on the other side of the lot. Saved me a ton of headache honestly, took his advice and kept driving that truck for 5 years no problems.

Yeah what that guy said about the salesman being straight up is so rare. I mean I bought a used sedan once and the dealer literally pulled up the Carfax on his phone and showed me the whole thing without me even asking. Said there was a minor fender bender reported but it was just cosmetic and he'd throw in a warranty on the engine. Idk maybe it's just me but I feel like when someone's that honest upfront it makes you trust them way more. I drove that car for like four years and never had a single issue with it.

Wait, am I the only one who'd probably buy the broken one anyway just to make the decision faster?
