Shoutout to the career counselor at the public library in Tulsa who made me rethink my resume

She pointed out I was burying my best achievement under a generic job description, and after I rewrote it that way, I got a call back from a hiring manager within 3 days, has anyone else had a random stranger give better advice than your own boss?

Adam Hernandez nailed it, switching from duties to results tripled my interview callbacks too.

Hell yeah, that's how it works. The best career advice I ever got was from some random guy at a coffee shop who told me to stop listing duties and start listing results. Once I did that, my phone wouldn't stop ringing.

Agree with @adam_hernandez completely. Results talk, everything else walks. Simple shift makes ALL the difference.
