inWarning: My 90 year old sewer line in Ohio City finally gave up
That 6 grand quote sounds about right for Ohio City, those old clay pipes are everywhere under the west side. Homeowner's insurance almost never covers it because they call it wear and tear or lack of upkeep, which is a bunch of crap if you ask me. Check if your city has a program for the parkway section though, some of them split the cost since that part is technically on their land. I'd get two or three more quotes before you sign anything, prices swing a lot on this kind of work.

inI finally quit my gym after 2 years of paying $41 a month for nothing
$984 is wild when you break it down like that. I did the same thing at a 24 Hour Fitness in Portland for almost 3 years and I think I went maybe 5 times, and one of those times I just sat in the parking lot eating a burrito because I didn't want to go in. My proudest moment was paying $50 a month to basically donate to their light bill. The worst part is I told myself every month that this was the month I'd get my money's worth, like the gym was gonna magically make me into a person who wakes up at 5am. Turns out quitting was way easier than going, and the only workout I got was my thumb hitting the cancel button.

Serious question, spent 4 hours chasing a 1/16 inch gap on a face frame before I checked my square
Checked mine after reading this and yep, off by about 1/32 over 2 feet. Been using it for years too, which means a whole kitchen's worth of cabinet doors might be a hair out. The flip test never caught it because the error was small enough that flipping just moved the gap to the other side and I figured that was normal. Now I check against a known good square or a factory edge on a sheet of plywood.
