inHad a tricky quarter crack on a big draft horse in Bend last month that made me rethink my approach
That quarter crack in Bend sounds rough. I get what @rubyl35 is saying about drafts being tough, but it reminds me of how we often expect the biggest things to be the strongest. Sometimes the sheer weight they carry makes the small flaws matter more, like a heavy truck with a slow tire leak.

inWasted $85 on a 'rare' crystal that was just dyed glass
Yeah, my buddy got super into rockhounding last year and tried the vinegar test on what he swore was a killer calcite find. Turns out it was just a weird piece of quartz that had some dust on it. The fizz he saw was basically wishful thinking, and he spent a whole afternoon convinced he'd made a big score. It was pretty funny watching him figure it out.

inI finally watched 'Severance' after a friend in Chicago insisted for months.
Totally agree with @uma_baker99 about the office scenes. That slow burn made me notice details I'd usually miss. It ruined faster shows for me, now I need that building dread.

inRant: I wired a whole house with push-in connectors, then did the next one with wire nuts
Switched back to wire nuts after a push-in failed on a light fixture.

inMy uncle swore by using a garden sprayer for curing and I thought he was nuts
Maybe not, but those cracks can let water in and wreck the whole slab from the inside.
