inJust realized our team's old coax cables are piling up in the dumpster.
Read an article last week that said a lot of waste comes from old measuring habits. Guys will pull a whole new spool for a small job just because the partial one looks messy. Some places are trying pre-cut kits for common runs to stop that.

inJust figured out a simple trick to keep suction lines clear using stuff from my home brewing setup
Actually Drew, that's a keg brush for cleaning the inside of the empty keg itself. The line cleaning brush is a different tool for the beer lines. What Emery_schmidt29 is talking about with the drill is a smart hack for the KEG brush, not the line cleaner. Using the wrong one just won't work right, the sizes and brushes are DRASTICALLY different for each specific job.

inIt hit me yesterday how making gravy is just like getting mortar right
Actually pasta dough needs more than just the right texture, it's really about that perfect FEEL when it stretches. @adams.vera's friend Sam fighting with sticky dough proves it's a touch thing, not just looks. Getting that balance makes all the difference for sure.

inForgot a pot of rice on the stove... now I swear by stale grains
Feel your pain on the weird wet clump, @torres.kelly. It happens to me all the time when I try to make fried rice on purpose. The secret is leaving the cooked rice sitting out way longer than feels right, like a full hour. You have to let all that steam out so the grains get dry and separate. I swear, the best fried rice comes from that leftover container from last night. Maybe the trick is just pretending you forgot it?

inWarning: My chalk line vanished while I was marking a cut.
Snap two lines close together so if one fades, you still have a guide.
