inJust hit 1000 hours on the same torque wrench and it changed my view on calibration
Oh come on, that's how you get burned. Sure, maybe your wrench is fine today. But that one time it's off by half a percent on a critical joint? That's a leak, or worse, a blowout. The sticker isn't about the tool feeling fine. It's about proving it's fine on paper, before something goes wrong. I've seen plants shut down over less.

inOlder aluminum bike frames are cracking in my neighborhood. Check every one.
Spotting those hairline cracks early is everything. Got a buddy who swears by using a bright LED flashlight at an angle, really makes any tiny stress lines pop. Clean the frame first though, dust and dirt can hide the early signs. Honestly if you catch it before it spreads, some shops can even do a proper weld repair instead of a whole new frame.

inCleaned out the shop and found my first trowel from 15 years ago
That's so real, my dad has this old hammer with the handle held together by duct tape. He refuses to get a new one, says it's just broken in right lol. It's wild how they get attached to tools that are basically falling apart.
