inFound my first sketchbook from 2008 and counted the pages
Honestly I kinda love my old stiff drawings. They show how much I cared about getting it right back then. That careful energy is its own cool thing.

inA friend told me my grocery budget looked like I was feeding a football team.
Actually, the friend might have a point though. Spending that much on groceries could mean you're buying a lot of processed stuff or wasting food, which isn't great. It's not just about saving cash, it's about being smart with what you buy. Maybe they were trying to give a helpful nudge to check your habits. Saving money is good, but how you save it matters too.

inMy foreman in Milwaukee told me to run the boring bar at 800 rpm and it wrecked the part
Remember the tooling itself can be the wild card. I had a boss push for high feed rates on a brand new endmill, saying the coating could handle it. He didn't know the shop guy had been resharpening the old ones on a bench grinder... the geometry was totally off. So the 'good' advice was based on a tool that didn't exist anymore. Sometimes the old rules fail because the tools on the floor aren't the ones in the catalog.

inCleaning out my fridge and found a jar of kimchi from 8 months ago
Honestly that makes me nervous just reading it. Eight months is a long time for something to sit in a fridge, even if it is fermented. I get that it can be safe, but why take the chance with something that old? The taste must have been super intense and not in a good way.
