inI finally stopped forcing my bridal bouquets into tight rounds
Loose bouquets look more romantic and natural, in my opinion.

inI used to plan my trips with a paper map and a highlighter, then I switched to CalTopo
My uncle was a master carpenter who swore by hand tools until he tried a laser level. Said it felt like cheating but then he couldn't go back. It's that same thing, right? We get attached to the old way because it feels pure or skilled. Then the new tool does something the old one just couldn't, like showing your exact spot in a storm. Makes you wonder what else we're stubborn about for no good reason.

inFound a whole box of old fishing lures for $5 at the Springfield flea market last Saturday.
Garages like that are the best. @derek_ramirez My grandpa had boxes of old car manuals and tools you just don't see anymore. The smell of oil and dust is its own kind of history. Bet your uncle's place has that same feel.

inUpdate: My local anime club in Denver completely missed the point of a classic scene
What other classic scenes do you think get that same shallow treatment?

inJust realized I've been cleaning shutter blades wrong for probably 10 years. A tech in Tacoma pointed out my solvent was leaving a residue.
Ugh, that sticky film is the worst. I mean, @lunab97 is totally right, it just smears everything. I used to get the 70% stuff from the drugstore for cleaning electronics and it was honestly useless. Felt like I was just wiping grease around with water. Switching to the stronger stuff from the hardware aisle was a total game changer. It actually evaporates clean and gets the job done right the first time.
